How hiring a remote session drummer works
1. Contact me Through Email, website, or Social Media
Once you reach out we will discuss a few things:
-
A recording date: so we can both be efficient about any edits or parts you want redone
-
How many songs
-
Any and all ideas you have about the drums parts you're looking for.
Some clients have midi drum parts they want brought to life by a real drummer and some clients have no idea what they want.
I'm happy to accommodate any and all requests.
2. Send me the tracks you need drum for.
This can be done either email, Dropbox, Google Drive or any other large file sharing service you are familiar with.
4. Take possession of the raw drum files.
After our remote session I will export all the raw audio files in your desired format and send them to you via a dropbox or Google Drive folder (depending on storage at the time). You will have 2 weeks to download the stems before I take them off my drive.
3. Be available on recording day so I can redo any parts you like.
When I got to track it is important that you be available that day for any edits or new ideas you may have. This is because getting a particular sound can be extensive changing drums sets, heads, mics, and setting preamps and outboard recording gear takes time and I will not be able to go back weeks later and give you a new take to splice in.
On recording day we will text or email back and forth in between each take to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for.
